Mercedes enter the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season with their latest car, the W10. The team will contest their title defense with Britain's Lewis Hamilton and Finland's Valtteri Bottas as its race drivers.
As with all Mercedes Formula 1 cars, the W10 features a silver paint scheme, representing the "silver arrows" of Mercedes-Benz. New for the 2019 season is the introduction of a Mercedes three-pointed star pattern along the rear half of the car, which transitions from dark to light, with the background transitioning in the opposite direction to an almost black rear-end. The car is accented with the white and turquoise colours of Petronas, its primary sponsor.
Following the death of Niki Lauda in May of 2019, Mercedes altered the livery by changing one of the stars red in honour of Lauda's contributions to the team and the sport. The nose of the car also now features his signature.
