Porsche will enter the 2019/2020 ABB FIA Formula E Championship season with their factory effort the Porsche 99X Electric. They are one of two new factory efforts to join the series 56th season, the other being Mercedes.
Porsche revealed the 99X Electric through an interactive livestream on Twitch.tv, with fans around the world contributing to the car launch by guiding the onsite team through the Porsche factory and towards the car.
TAG Heuer are the team's title sponsor, with significant backing also provided by Vodafone. The livery is a fresh take on the factory Porsche template of recent years, with white, red and gunmetal grey working together with the striking bodylines of the Formula E single-seater to create a look worthy of Porsche.
Porsche's drivers for their first season will be André Lotterer and Neel Jani, two long-established LMP drivers who competed in the Porsche 919 at multiple endurance races.
